StarBlocker watches what's on your screen and blocks the things you told it to. It runs in the background from the moment you log in. The same account also covers macOS, Windows, iPhone, and Android.

Opens TestFlight or Google Play. Sign in with the same StarBlocker account after installing.

Requirements

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple Silicon (M1 or newer)
  • Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
  • A StarBlocker account with an active subscription
Heads up. Installing asks for your administrator password, because StarBlocker installs a background service that starts at login. Once a rule is active you won't be able to quit it — that's the point.

After installing — macOS

  1. Open the .dmg, then double-click StarBlocker.pkg.
  2. Grant Screen Recording when macOS asks. Without it StarBlocker can't see anything and silently blocks nothing.
  3. Click the StarBlocker icon in your menu bar and log in.
  4. Set your rules on the dashboard.

After installing — Windows

  1. Run StarBlockerSetup.exe and approve the administrator prompt — it installs a background service that starts at login.
  2. StarBlocker starts on its own and adds an icon to your notification area. Click it and log in.
  3. Set your rules on the dashboard.

After installing — iPhone and Android

Those clients sign in to this same account and share these same rules, missions and time limits — a daily budget is one budget spent across every device. Use the beta buttons above, install the app, and follow its guided permission setup.

* On iPhone, StarBlocker judges everything you do in Safari — the same AI, the same rules. It cannot see inside other apps: those can be blocked or time-limited, but never judged.
